Advance Careers joins forces with Brunel

February 26th, 2024

We are pleased to announce that from January 2024, Advance Careers has officially become part of Brunel. Combining Advance Careers’ experience, understanding and reputation with Brunel’s worldwide network, systems and reach will make the organisation even more capable of catering to the needs of sustainability, energy transition and complex search clients throughout Australasia.

Over the past 10 years, Advance Careers has established itself as a renowned provider of recruitment, search and staffing solutions for energy transition and sustainability organisations – particularly for highly-skilled technical and niche roles associated with emerging technologies. Joining forces with Brunel will enable Advance Careers to take that business model to the next level.

Advance Careers Directors Neil Chandaria and Chris Wellock have described the merger as a watershed moment for the company.

This is a big change which will absolutely alter the future of Advance Careers, but not the vision behind it.”

– Chris Wellock

When we founded Advance Careers in 2014, our goal was to create a niche, boutique-style agency that didn’t just fill roles, but helped to define them – particularly in cutting-edge fields where the skills required have only just emerged and sometimes don’t even have a name yet. In 2024, that continues to be at the heart of what Advance Careers is.

Mr Chandaria echoed his co-founder’s sentiments about staying true to the business’ origins.

“Choosing the right partner for Advance Careers, a business Chris and I spent the last 10 years growing, was not a decision we took lightly, but ultimately it was the right one. Harnessing the power of Brunel will make it possible to continue do what we do well, but on a much larger scale.”

Brunel Managing Director of Operations Tania Sinibaldi remarked on the value she sees created in the amalgamation.

There is a great opportunity for us to take the exceptional relationship and knowledge building the Advance Careers team has done over the past decade, and to amplify this by connecting them with Brunel’s global infrastructure, reach and expanded suite of capabilities,” Ms Sinibaldi said.

“Together, Advance Careers and Brunel have the potential to be far more than the mere sum of their parts.”
