A company at the forefront of large scale PV is looking for a BDM to spearhead its expansion efforts in the C&I solar energy sector across Victoria.

The Company

One of the pioneers in the large scale commercial solar space, the company has been delivering market leading projects since its inception in 2012. Offering more than just design and construct, they also have a significant asset management function with a portfolio of 1,600 sites currently.
  
Dedicated in house project management and engineering teams allow for a wholistic and custom approach to the individual needs of their clients and have seen them deliver projects for some of the largest brands in Australia.
  
The Role
  
Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, the Business Development Manager will be based in Melbourne, fully remote from head office in Sydney. The role will focus on identifying new opportunities and acquiring new business in the Victorian large scale commercial solar market. The preparation and delivery of comprehensive feasibilities and proposals, outlining key financials against potential client’s energy profiles, will also be a primary function.
  
Along with this, developing a sound market strategy incorporating in-depth knowledge of the Australian commercial solar market will be required, including competitor research and pricing strategies. Cross team collaboration will also be a feature, as the role will involve liaising with clients, pre sales engineering and project management teams during system design and delivery.
  
The Requirements
  
The ideal candidate will be an autonomous and self resourced hunter, with a keen drive to engage and acquire new commercial and industrial business ripe for large scale solar opportunities. This will be driven by clear and engaging communication skills, strong business acumen relating to energy usage and proposal/feasibility preparation.

This will need to be demonstrated by a proven track record in sales, business development or account management ideally in solar or renewable energy, where familiarity with commercial solar energy systems, technologies and regulatory requirements will be innate.
